Fox vs. Seckman Hockey
by Matt O'Harver on Jan.16, 2009, under Sports Photos
Well a couple times a year I get to venture into the cold and photograph hockey. Tonight was one of those night. I was there on a good night. Seckman has a very talented Sophmore by the name of Scott Leslie I think if he continues to develop and play at the level he played at tonight, there is a possibility we could see him in the NHL in a few year. Tonight he scored four goals and assisted on the other two goals that were scored.

Herky Vs. Windsor
by Matt O'Harver on Jan.15, 2009, under Sports Photos
Saw my first girls game of the year today. Winless Windsor against one win Herky. Proved to be a much better game then the numbers showed, as Windsor was able to put a Win on their record for the first time this year with a two point victory over JCC rival Herky.

Fox VS Lindbergh
by Matt O'Harver on Jan.14, 2009, under Sports Photos
Well it was back to the wrestling match wednesday night. Watched a very strong Fox team take on the Lindbergh Flyers. With the Warriors coming out very fast winning nearly every match, unfortunatley they lost the final three matches or it would have been a sweep Still a convincing 56-18 dual meet win.

This week I’m going to be all over the place, sports wise that is. Wednesday Jan. 14th, 2009 you can find me at Fox High School covering the Warriors taking on the Lindbergh flyers in a wrestling dual. On Thursday January 15th, you can find me at Windsor High school with the Windsor Owls girls basketball team will be hosting the Herculaneum Blackcats. On Friday my second chance to cover the Fox-Seckman hockey rivalry at the South County rink. Hope to see you at the games.
Jeffco Lady Vikings
by Matt O'Harver on Jan.10, 2009, under Sports Photos
Well as I predicted, the Lady Vikings of Jefferson College extended the unbeaten streak to nineteen games tonight. This team is something you really need to get out and see. I’ve not seen that many talented ladies on the court, let alone the same team in quite some time. There is no need to wonder if they really deserve the Number 1 national ranking that they have, once you see them on the court. Tonight they beat Crowder College by a score of 102-52. Its almost as if they are unstoppable. With so many weapons and being able to go so deep on the bench and not give up much in the way of talent is really something to see. If you are a hoops fan, you really owe it to yourself to see this team before they have no more home dates. Its free and you are sure to see a sight to behold, a nationally ranked team in your own backyard! This doesnt happen every day folks!

Crystal City vs. St. Pius
by Matt O'Harver on Jan.09, 2009, under Sports Photos
Another friday night, and another high school basketball game. Tonight I walked into the Crystal City gym with the hopes of seeing a close game with alot of action. Well I saw alot of action anyway. The game wasnt really all that close. Lance Cannon had a fantastic game blocking shots, even rounded the night off with a slam dunk for his final two points of the night. Crystal led by plenty and never looked back.

De Soto Hillsboro Wrestling
by Matt O'Harver on Jan.07, 2009, under Sports Photos
Well after not having seen a wrestling match all year. I was treated to a decent one when I got there. De Soto and Hillsboro came down to the final match to decide the outcome of the event. Hillsboro led 31-30 with the heavyweight match to go. Hillsboro won on a Pin and took the dual meet 37-30. Click photo to see more and purchase prints.
