So many have asked me what does a photographer do while on vacation with his family. Quite simply I did what I love to do. Spend time with my family along with plenty of time behind the viewfinder. I was fortunate enough to hook up with a photographer friend of mine from Hickory NC and attend a Hickory Crawdads baseball game. They are the Low A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. I was also fortunate enough to visit Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina. Some of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever been able to do while on vacation. If you are ever in the area it is a must do. The images below are a few from my trip. Thanks for your patience while I was gone and hopefully getting back on top of things won’t take me long.

OK folks, the time is here. I’m back to working on the High school scene. The players are done with camps this summer, school is back in session, and the games are starting. So you ask where will I be?

August 28th, 2008 I will be at the Fox vs. Lutheran south softball game.

 August 29th, 2008  I will again be shooting team photos for the newspaper. This week I’ll be at Grandview and then team photos are done. I’ll run home and grab some gear and head out to a football game of my choice. Opening night of the football season is here. No assignment tonight as I have drawn the biggest game of the week and its a Saturday day game.

 August 30th, 2008   Are you ready for some football? Thats right week one of the HS varsity season is underway. I’ll be at MICDS vs.  Festus two very good programs both ranked in the statewide standings. I am really looking forward to seeing a good game.

Sept. 2nd 2008 I’ll be at Jefferson College to cover the Lady Vikings taking on the Mineral Area Cardinals. Should be a really good match with several local talented ladies on both teams. This will be the first match for the New Vikings Coach.

 Sept. 5th, 2008 I’ll be in my own backyard. Literally De Soto vs. Perryville in HS football, at J.C. Culwell Stadium. Should be a game the my Alma Mater can win.

Well today I spent the better part of 10 hours at the Edward Jones dome for Monster Jam with my son. He loves the trucks and we always go there for his Birthday. Its a blast for me as well, as the 548 photos I took today might suggest. I’ll post up a gallery of some of it sometime this week. I have some other work I need to take care of in the meantime. Well unfortunatly this weeks assignments were cancelled by the 8 inches of snow we recieved. Next week is De Soto vs. Hillsboro basketball on the 5th. And the 8th will see me at the Hillsboro at Crystal City game. Check back next week for photos and stories. For now I’ll just go play in the snow.
